We can’t think of a better way to start 2018 than with our guest today!
All the way from New York City….. It’s Kevin Singleton!

Kevin is a man of many talents. He’s played professional basketball and spoken to thousands across the globe. He’s an incredible worship leader himself and has also mentored and served alongside some of the greatest worship leaders of our time. Today he’s literally changing the lives of students across NYC through a program called Elevate New York. Some of the greatest lessons we’ve learned in life have come from this man right here, and we cannot wait for him to share those with you today! You are going to LOVE learning from Kevin and hearing all about the difference he is making for students in NYC!
We were SO blessed by our time with Kevin, we KNOW you will be too!

QUOTABLE QUOTES:

“I do not receive that.”

“What you receive is what you become.”

“ I should not believe anything about myself unless it aligns with the word of God.”

“The sad thing about us as believers, because were all in process, we often say things to other people that are not in alignment with scripture. If we receive it when we say that, it goes into our spirit, and then we start living that way.”

“My mom began to set this pattern into my heart before I even had a revelation of it biblically,
is that : what you receive you will become.”

“When someone says something over you that is affirming, don’t shrug it off, that is not humility. You can say, ‘Thank you, I receive that over my life.’ That’s the power of agreement.”

“The goal (in any spiritual leadership role) is to lead someone into God’s presence where they encounter Him and forget about you completely.”

“ The hope is that HE would increase, and I would decrease! That is my job…. To simply get out of the way so that they can ultimately see who Jesus is.”

“Leaders always look behind them and ask, ‘Why are people following me?’”

“Part of great leadership is the ability to transfer your heart to another person.”

“Great leaders have high adversity quotients. They always INVITE adversity.”

“I called my mom aside and said, ‘Mom, do you believe in me? Do you believe this is what I’m called to do?’ She said, ‘Yes!’ Then I said, ‘It’s done.’ . . . And I walked out in it.”

“Elevate New York offers a relational solution to an educational problem.”

“Life is a marathon, it’s a journey, it’s a process.
Be slower to judge people. Be slower to think that you know everything. The older you get the more you’ll find that you don’t know and the more humble you need to be.”
